DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACY SERVICES
The Pharmacy Services Program within the Pharmacy Services Department was activated in 2021. The department has 3 academic personnel who are experts in their field. The department will commence education in the 2021-2022 academic year with a quota of 40 students.

Purpose of the Program:
It is to train auxiliary medical personnel to be employed in laboratories, pharmaceutical sector, drug warehouses, offering drugs contained in prescriptions organized by doctors to the patients, preparing the necessary medicines under the supervision of a pharmacist.
The auxiliary medical personnel will be trained according to the following conditions to contribute in appropriate and informed consumption of the drugs during the treatment process. These conditions are:
  • Educating in a scientific environment
  • Training as employees who have via the necessary knowledge and equipment to have acquired professional skills
  • On the one hand, education and job opportunities are provided and informed for our young people, while on the other hand, providing education in better quality, more scientific and better conditions
Training Principles:
The training principles of the pharmacy services program are to gain sufficient knowledge about medical terminology, pharmacy rules and functioning, drugs and medical products. Practical trainings can be carried out in free pharmacies and pharmacies of private and public hospitals.

Diploma and Title Earned by Graduates:
Graduates of the program are awarded an “associate degree” and “the title of Pharmacy Services Technician”.

Workspace of Graduates:
Students who graduate from pharmacy services program can work in public and private organizations. They can work in public and private pharmacies, hospitals, the medical sector and various areas of the pharmaceutical sector. With about 24,000 pharmacies in our country, they can serve as trained assistant employees in workplaces and have the opportunity to work at various points (public and private hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical and health products distribution channels, pharmaceutical factories, etc.) in the pharmaceutical service sector.

External Transfers:
Students who graduate from the program are eligible for undergraduate education in the following programs if they succeed in the external transfer exam (DGS) conducted by Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (OSYM).
